Juventus Bring In Ex- Italy Head Coach Spalletti

Juventus have named previous Italian national team head coach Luciano Spalletti as their manager for the remainder of the campaign.

The 66-year-old takes over from his predecessor, who was dismissed following the loss to Lazio on Sunday.

Tudor arrived at the club in March as Thiago Motta's replacement but left after seven months after an eight-game winless streak.

Spalletti led Napoli to the Serie A title in 2022-23 then moving on to lead the Italian national team, which missed out on the 2022 World Cup during Roberto Mancini's tenure.

He secured their spot in Euro 2024 where they were knocked out in the last 16 by Switzerland.

However, Spalletti was sacked by Italy in June after a World Cup qualifying defeat by Norway, with the Azzurri at risk of missing out on a third consecutive World Cup.

Spalletti's managerial career includes Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Serie A and won the Russian Premier League twice with Zenit St Petersburg.

Massimo Brambilla took interim charge of Juventus during the 3-1 victory over Udinese on Wednesday which left them seventh in Serie A - trailing leaders Napoli by six points after nine matches.

In the Champions League, they sit 25th in the league phase, after recording one defeat and two ties in the initial three fixtures.
